What happens when friends cross the line and become lovers? Lies fly, emotions erupt, and the stage is set for a totally uncensored, and entertaining adventure in seduction, betrayal, heartbreak, revenge, and oh-so-sweet true love. Adventure is exactly what Rachel Pendleton and Roman Sinclair go through together in this new romance novel, Always in my Heart. It is a story about the choices you make in life and the results of those choices.

True love often triumphs through the most complex of circumstances. Rachel Pendleton and Roman "Romey" Sinclair are two people who connected with each other and have been the best of friends since childhood. This special connection they share has triumphed over all else that has gone amiss in their lives. They each always knew that they would always be there for each other no matter what.

But Rachel and Romey share something else ---- a deep love for each other that neither will acknowledge for fear of ruining their long-standing friendship. Both have had relationships with other people, but they never lasted because some very important elements were missing.... true friendship, honesty, and love. When Romey ends up marrying a materialistic, self-centered woman, Rachael must find a way to let her inhibitions go or lose the man she truly loves forever.

Can best friends become lovers? Can lovers stay best friends? Absolutely! That is ---- if you are not afraid to open up your heart to love and take a chance.

Manhattan did have its appeal. I had not lived there in over ten years, but during my brief period there I worked in public relations at a firm there. Now I was here unpacking and setting up my new place of residence. My cousin Valerie and I had spent the whole day unpacking and placing things in my apartment. Val was also a matchmaker and had tried to fix me up with some of her friends.

“Girl I’m so glad that you’re back. You know what? I’m gonna hook you up. My ex-husband’s got this fine ass cousin that ----

“Stop it Val --- please,” I said, holding up my hand. All right --- Rach --- All right! Well then, answer this question for me. Have you talked to Romey lately?” Val asked, giving me a curious eye and observing my face for an expression.

“Yes --- why do you ask?”

“Hey, I was just curious. You know Rach --- I think you and Romey would be good together. Tell me girl --- did you and Romey ever --- well --- you know – get busy?” Val asked, raising a brow in curiosity.

“Whoa-a-a-a Val. Romey and I are just friends --- we’re just friends Val. The two of us have been friends since we were eight years old. There has never been anything romantic between us Val.”

“You and Romey never even came close to doing it? Come on Rach! Not even a little smoochie smooch?” Val asked, playfully smushing her lips together.

“Well --- maybe just a little kiss --- once,” I confessed.

“I knew it! I knew it! When girl? When did Romey and you kiss?” Val inquired.

“Oh Val --- it was years ago --- back when we was in college. It never went any further. We just dismissed it like it never happened. We never brought it up again.”

Val stood there with her arms folded, patting her foot and observing my facial expressions as I talked. I continued talking, stammering in my speech, trying to cover the fact that I have feelings for Romey. I could tell though that Val wasn’t buying my story.

“So you are telling me that you never thought about hooking up with Romey?”

“Yeah --- well --- he asked me once --- you know --- about us getting together, but I told him that I didn’t think it was such a good idea.”

“What! --- Rach! --- I know you didn’t just blow him off like that!”
